“Lovely hotel, excellent service, fantastic location”

The Hermes feels more like a 4 star than a 3 star hotel. Its central location in Ermopouli almost surrounded by water (the port on one side, the Aegean on the other) and only steps from shops, cafes, restaurants, sights etc is excellent. It's also just a short walk along the port to and from the ferry. Our room on the first floor had daily housekeeping and was quiet and well decorated, furnished and maintained. We had a small balcony which overlooked a quiet laneway which was tranquil and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The outoor public terraces (with cafe and bar service) were nicely landscaped and furnished and had beautiful views as well as offering direct access to the sea for a swim. We ate breakfast on the port-facing terrace and enjoyed a wide and plentiful range of hot/cold and sweet/savoury options. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, and service throughout our stay was great. Our rate which included breakfast was great value. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hermes and it will be our first choice for accommodation when we return to Ermopouli

“Excellent base to stay in Ermoupoli, Great value and very comfortable with a superb breakfast”

The Hermes hotel sits in a superb spot near the ferry port, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and facilities at the end of a headland. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself is well maintained. WIFI is excellent, and the breakfast is arguably the best I’ve seen—an amazing selection of hot and cold items and plenty of fresh fruit! You can dine inside or on the terrace overlooking the harbour. The building has a majestic presence from the outside, and there was very little outside noise. Though there’s no pool, there is a terrace for sun‑bathing and an in‑house restaurant. I was very happy with the hotel.

“The best location in Ermoupoli!”

Wonderful location within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops and major sights. Beautiful views from the public spaces surrounding the hotel. We had a large suite with a wonderful bathroom — 2 sinks, shower and tub — and a deck with gorgeous views of the Aegean Sea. Breakfast is buffet style and includes plenty of options. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Front desk staff are a little reserved. Nobody to help with bags despite the steps required to get to the room. Some of the public spaces are a bit “shabby” looking, mainly reflecting the age of the hotel

“Een heerlijk verblijf, dicht bij de haven en alle restaurants, met uitzicht op zee.”

The breakfast was a generous buffet. The receptionist took the time to give us information. The room was cleaned daily and we received new towels and bedding. Nothing else.
