The pool is amazing, right on the beach, which made our pigeon island trip and whale watching trips super convenient, and we enjoyed glorious sunrises and endless hours with the family in the water. The only downside was the bathroom in our room, which was not up to the same standard as everything else.

The beach at Uppuveli was perfect. However, when we arrived, the manager told us they were overbooked and offered us an older room with a broken A/C that didn’t justify the price we paid. Food at the restaurant took a long time to arrive, and the hotel’s frequent weddings and events left us with no quiet moments.

The sea views from the cabin are stunning, and we loved having breakfast on the beach. Guests also get free hammocks, and the pool is great. The hotel’s beach is fine, but it’s right next to the fishermen’s beach, which is littered with trash and smells bad. Crows keep interrupting any attempt to eat on the beach.

Nothing good, the hotel is dilapidated, dirty, unhealthy, even dangerous. I left without sleeping there. A sad experience.
