The location is great and the view from my room was good too. It’s getting a little aged – I’ve stayed there for many decades and the overall age is showing despite refurbishments.

The location is superb. The room was spacious and the view was exceptional. I would have stayed a few more nights, but I had a plane to catch… joking.

I liked the old‑fashioned vibe of the lobby, but dishes were left in the hallway during the day and even overnight.

The place sits in a great spot, but the beds are too small and the parking costs a fortune.

The location was fine. It has really lost its sparkle and wow factor compared to previous stays. The concierge didn’t even greet or say hello to us on arrival or when we entered or exited multiple times. My husband and I said hello with no response. There was minimal assistance on arrival. The pillow on the bed smelled like sweaty old man and was disgusting, and the bath/shower was so clogged that the water wasn’t going down even though the plug was open. We were so disappointed because this was one of our favourite hotels but it hasn’t kept up with the standards of nearby hotels for the same price. It honestly looked old and rundown. We couldn’t even get a cocktail at the bar on arrival because it was closed at check‑in time and never used to be.
