The tent lodges were comfortably furnished. There was a small fridge and a small heater that saved us through the cold night. Many bags could move freely on the premises. There was no restaurant, as advertised on the website, and no way to buy anything, even though a farm shop was also promoted.

The farm was lovely, with many animals and very friendly staff. The tents were nice, spacious, and clean, but of course it was camping, and the sanitation facilities were very spartan and a bit dated, with only one toilet and one shower each for men and women right next to the tents.

The location in the middle of the farm was nice and the people were friendly, but there isn’t much camping there.

I liked the surroundings, but the campsite was listed as “full” and we ended up alone with no other guests around. Nobody was on the site, and the animals seemed to need a vet. The manager wasn’t there, so the whole farm and hotel had to be handled by “FSJ” volunteers, and there were no food options at all.

It’s a nice site with a camping‑style feel, a very successful concept with the beds (see below) in the tent… definitely worth another trip, but please make the beds quieter; the creaking is unpleasantly loud when you turn in bed and steals your sleep.
