The place is close to the jetty, but the beds were flimsy and felt like they might collapse, and there was only one blanket; the walls were paper-thin so I could hear everything from the room next door, and the hallway was noisy all night.

The spot was fine, but we ended up sleeping in our clothes because there were no blankets, only a single duvet that had been used countless times. The bathroom constantly smelled, the towels were dirty, the mattress cover was filthy, and the air‑conditioner made an absurd amount of noise.

The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. Given the price, it was a very good choice and offered excellent value for money.

The hotel is adjacent to the Kuala Besut Jetty, about 150 metres away, making it a perfect spot to catch boats to the islands. Right next to the hotel there’s the usual 7Eleven and another market if you need anything – snacks, food and drinks. The bathroom in the room was dirty and very basic; it’s fine for a maximum of two nights, but you should look for something better. Around the hotel there isn’t much else; only a few very easy little restaurants. Otherwise, nothing.

My stay at this hotel was a mixed bag. On the one hand, the staff were friendly and made an effort to make me feel welcome. However, the hotel was undergoing renovation, and the condition of the room was quite messy. I had to tolerate the noise and chaos, but the friendly staff helped to make up for it.
