Caer Beris Hotel

I chose this location for its convenience, and it was fine, but the place feels dead and lifeless – Travelodge would have outshone it easily; for the price, an old manor should have a vibe, yet it looks like no money has been invested in refurbishment, resembling a milking cow stall more than a hotel, and after staying in old castles turned into hotels, this one is a big NO.

“Extremely disappointed”

The property looks beautiful, but it’s run poorly and that’s a huge let‑down; the cold rooms and lack of warmth that once made it special left me disappointed, especially after so many good memories of visiting, dining, and even getting married there.

“Misleading and disappointing”

The only good thing was the nice location, but I had no idea it was a self‑check‑in place; nothing on the booking site said there were no staff, food, or tea/coffee facilities in the room. I didn’t have the front‑door code, so I had to call someone to get in, and the hotel felt creepy—especially as a lone female traveller, I didn’t feel safe. When someone tried to enter my room at 11 pm, I had to block it with a chair for extra security. I didn’t sleep well and won’t book again.

De locatie is prachtig maar het huis is in slechte staat; de bedden zijn heel slecht, we boekten een deluxe kamer, betaalden bijna €100 en kregen een goedkopere kamer omdat er een fout was gemaakt met dubbele boeking. Hotel totaal niet 4 sterren waardig en zeker niet voor deze prijs.
