The location was great and the hosts were so welcoming, and everything else was fine.

Dias Guesthouse is conveniently located on the way to the Blue Eye. The room was noisy, making sleep difficult. The bathroom fixture was loose, the shower dripped heavily, and the entire bathroom/WC flooded before we even used it. The garden area was untidy. The pool was covered in algae. When we asked about transport back to Theth, we were told only a private taxi (50 €) or walking on the street were options. Knowing that from the parking lot where the trail to the Blue Eye starts, a shared taxi runs every 8 am for just 5 € per person to Theth would have been very helpful. This basic information should be provided by any accommodation staff.

“Good homestay option in nice area close to Blue eye”

We enjoyed staying close to the Blue Eye because we could hike straight from the house both days. The swimming pool was great for relaxing after a hot hike. A young woman greeted us at midnight when we arrived late; she was friendly, spoke excellent English, and was lovely. Breakfast was minimal but adequate, though a toaster and more fruit would have been nice; there were many bees but plenty of seating to avoid them. Our room was small with a tiny side window view, but it worked; the bathroom was a wet room and compact, yet the bed was comfortable and we had a fan. We didn't have dinner and felt there was no real "host" or homestay vibe. We drove in and out of Theth, which is nearby, and parking was always available. The Wi‑Fi didn’t reach our room, and the house was loud and creaky; if neighbors opened their door it sounded like ours was opening, and we could hear people going up and down the stairs. We woke several times because people left early to hike, as the walls are very thin.

We ended up in a different room than we had booked, but overall we were happy with the stay. The alternate room didn’t solve the noise issue from neighboring rooms, but the setting was gorgeous and right on the hiking trails. The staff were friendly, and we even got a refreshing dip in the private pool. Thanks!

The spot is great, but we were disappointed that the room didn’t actually have air‑conditioning as advertised, and the pool was covered in algae and unusable. Power outages happen in the area, and we experienced one during our visit.
