“Basic logeren in Cecina”

I was excited about the great spot—just a stone's throw from the sea and right in a lively downtown area. I knew I was booking a basic room, yet the comfort level felt extremely minimal. The tiny fridge barely held two small bottles of water, and there were no extras like a kettle, coffee machine, glasses, or travel mugs. Breakfast was only available at nearby bars, which often stayed open late, so bringing my own breakfast was a hassle. Fresh towels halfway through the stay would have been nice, and the shampoo/shower gel was limited to one dose per person; we ended up buying our own bottles. Overall, while we chose a basic stay, a few small tweaks could have made it more comfortable, and the price‑to‑value ratio felt off.

The bed was big enough, everything was clean, and there were towels for both of us. The owner was very attentive and friendly. It was a basement room without air conditioning, but luckily it didn’t get hot. The worst part was that you can’t park on the street, though there’s usually space nearby.

Good location and cleanliness. The only downside was the lack of a place to hang wet towels and swimsuits.
