Residence Inn by Marriott Grand Rapids West

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It was filthy—bare spots on the floor where the carpet should be, peeling walls, and no maid service even after asking twice. The building constantly smelled of weed smoke because people smoke there, and I even saw a drug deal in the parking lot. Don’t ever stay here.

The place was very nice and clean.

The staff were very friendly, but the shelf in the bathroom was broken so we couldn’t put anything on it, and the shower curtain wouldn’t stay close because the rod was broken; we also found the maids’ dust rag under one of our pillows.

“Mixed feelings”

The staff, breakfast, and bed were good, yet the room was very dated, the carpet looked unclean, was ripped and taped up with black duct tape, and the furniture was torn, fabric‑covered and in need of cleaning or replacement.
