The view was nice, the restaurant fantastic, and the shared terrace huge; however, there seemed to be no pool or other sports facilities.

Schönes kleines Hotel mit sehr gutem Restaurant . Großzügige Apartments. Sehr schön eingerichtet und sehr gepflegt. Super leckeres Frühstück, wird täglich serviert auf der Sonnenterrasse. Die Angestellten sind wirklich alle super freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit bei euch.<3. + + +

The view from the restaurant terrace was really nice, and the breakfasts were generous and tasty. The staff were very welcoming, and being close to the garden was a big plus.

“Stunning experience”

What an amazing stay at this hotel and location! The staff we met most were incredibly friendly, especially Sonia from the breakfast team who was caring, calm, and sweet, and Hugo who kept the mood high during our last dinner at the restaurant. The food was delicious, with breakfast varying each day. The room was spacious, featuring a small kitchen and living area that let us relax away from the bed. The bed itself was huge and comfortable, offering two pillow options. The hotel sits right next to the cable car that goes to Funchal, and the local bus 022, always punctual both ways, can also be used; the bus ride is a bit bumpy but you get used to it after a few trips. Keep in mind the island has many lizards, so you’ll likely see them everywhere, even on the path to the room. We had a personal special request that was fulfilled to the finest detail. Overall, we’d come back a thousand times, so book without hesitation! Nothing we didn’t like, except that when we arrived we felt rushed by the people at the restaurant that day. We understand it was busy, but after a long flight and a rough bus ride that left us speechless, being told to “sit and wait” while staff ran around was a bit unwelcoming, especially since we were just arriving at a new destination for a significant trip. It felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff that evening, while it was the start of our special vacation. I hesitated to mention it, but seeing how Sonia, Hugo, and the rest of the restaurant team treated us the following days made me want to restart that first evening, as it sets the tone for the rest of the stay in a new country. Still, it didn’t affect our overall experience.
