“Had an amazing first night in Portugal thanks to Palácio das Especiarias.”

The hotel has an amazing aesthetic. I loved the spice theme, interior design, and garden seating. It was great. The big bathtub in the suite was perfect after a long flight from the US. It was easy to walk around to different shops. I highly recommend this place for people looking to stay in this area of Lisbon and want a very elegant stay and romantic evening. The fridge was small, a very minor complaint, but it did not affect our trip or satisfaction with our stay.

I’m not blaming the hotel, but I’m furious because they rated themselves 9.3 and I trusted that rating. The worst thing was that they showed us fake pictures of the room. First, they gave us a room at a lower level. There was no cell‑phone reception and I couldn’t make any calls. The room actually had no view. The fridge was a car cooler that barely fit one can of Coke. There was a hair dryer in the room but no electric outlet in the bathroom to use it. I definitely recommend checking their ratings because I completely lost trust in them.
