The kitchen is well equipped; almost any meal can be prepared without trouble. It’s spacious and comfortably seats four people. The accommodation is in the middle of the village, next to the church and a nice park, in a very quiet village setting. The main sights and day‑trip destinations of Zemplén are conveniently reachable by car. The garden isn’t very spacious. For groups that aren’t related, it can be somewhat inconvenient because the owner rents several properties in the area. The towels didn’t feel fresh. Cleanliness and ant infestation were lacking. The beds are quite small, but sufficient for smaller people. The bathroom is old‑fashioned and not particularly impressive.

The guesthouse was stunning and charming, a true traditional Hungarian home both inside and out. We didn’t use the kitchen, but it was fully stocked with everything you could need. Being in the area to visit relatives meant we didn’t need to cook, and the location suited that purpose perfectly. A small shop is just a minute’s walk away for fresh bread and other essentials, while a larger town with three big grocery stores is about 15 minutes away. Outside, a cute patio lets you enjoy extra morning coffee or a glass of wine, and there was a container of coffee grounds for my husband’s convenience. The rooms were all spacious except for the bathroom. The shower felt a bit small; a larger person might find it cramped. My husband wished there were more comfortable chairs or a couch for lounging and reading—only two bedroom chairs were available, and they weren’t ideal for that. He ended up using the kitchen table with his laptop. We also missed some English‑speaking TV channels, but that’s understandable for such a small place.

The owner was very kind and helpful. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome and a brief “introduction” that lasted a few minutes. We were satisfied with everything. The kitchen was equipped to our needs (we didn’t cook, but there was salt, oil, and basics). Special thanks for the ground coffee supplied for the coffee machine. When we left, we kindly mentioned a water leak at the shower, and the host reacted positively, showing that he didn’t take it as an attack and even thanked us for the feedback. The only discomfort we experienced was that the two beds were joined together with a wooden frame in the middle, which caused some minor inconvenience.

Everything was fantastic. The accommodation was gorgeous, clean, organized, and well equipped. The surroundings were charming and quiet, making it a perfect spot for rest and relaxation. No complaints.
