The lodge is excellent. The new facilities are well‑located, staff are overly attentive, and there’s a beachside area with chairs and an umbrella. The beach is very calm and great for children.

The room was all good. The pool, bar and café area are very hot; the place needs fans. The pool lacks umbrellas and some of the pool floats are not good or sharp.

I spent six nights at Pousada Corais do Bitingui and had an excellent stay. The location is ideal, just steps from a beautiful beach and in a much quieter, nicer area than the most touristy parts of the region. The welcome was warm, the staff especially friendly and attentive. Daniel deserves a shout‑out for being very competent and helpful; after two months in Brazil he was the first person to point out that I didn’t have to pay the service tax on my purchases, and I chose to pay it because of the quality of service. Chef Leandro and the lodge’s restaurant were a great surprise: the dishes were tasty, well‑prepared, and varied enough that I wanted to dine there several times during my stay. I had planned to dine at Scalini across the street, but the meals were so good that I ordered most of the menu for my six dinners. Pousada Corais do Bitingui is a solid base for exploring Japaratinga and the surroundings while enjoying Bitingui’s calm. I recommend it without hesitation. Suggestions: 1) Highlight the restaurant’s strengths more. 2) To avoid confusion about room cleaning, the reception should automatically ask each day if a service is needed.
