Dream Ladakh Guest House

The staff were incredible, going above and beyond for me and my friend, making us feel safe as two female travelers; the dinner and breakfasts were delicious, and the family running the property were so lovely.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and the toilet was tidy; 24‑hour hot water was available, and the place sits about 2 km from the market. The owner and staff were excellent, and the food was tasty—breakfast options like aloo paratha, poha, or bread cost Rs 150, while dinner items such as Kadahi Paneer, roti, dal, chawal, and salad were Rs 250 per person. Overall, the stay was excellent and offered great value for money, though the location is about 150 ft inside the road and there’s no sign on the road to help locate it.

“Perfect for international travellers who appreciate competence and warm-heartedness!”

As bikers, we’re always hunting for comfy beds, good meals, and hot showers, and we found all of that here; add a beautiful, authentic Ladakhi home and a welcoming family, and you’ve got a winning combination. The middle brother, Stanzin, welcomed us on behalf of Jimmy, who runs the guest house while he was away on business—he was very professional, respectful, competent, helpful, and warm‑hearted, as were every family member. We arrived as strangers and left as friends.

The room and bathroom were clean and hygienic, and the host’s hospitality was outstanding—treating us like family, worrying about our outings, and even planning a full itinerary just for us. They supplied petrol jerry cans and ropes for our bike adventure across Ladakh, stored our extra luggage safely for 4–5 days at no charge, and finally dropped us off at the bus stand in their private vehicle.
