Ol Tukai Lodge Amboseli is nestled in the heart of Amboseli National Park, offering breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Elegantly furnished rooms feature fans, mosquito nets, and scenic views. The lodge boasts a pool, restaurant, and lounge, plus two bars and a garden veranda. Game drives, bird watching, and Maasai village visits are available, with stunning elephant sightings possible from private terraces.

The meals were tasty, and the staff were friendly, making everything feel great—though my earlier review was for a different hotel, sorry about that. The only downside was that there were no TVs or other entertainment options, but we embraced the natural surroundings instead.

The location is fantastic, the best we could get in Amboseli. Everyone on staff is very friendly and helpful. Too many people crowd the dining areas, and there are small oversights that shouldn’t happen at a place of this quality and price, like forgetting to put towels and a bath mat in the room, or having to ask the reception for toilet paper because the room only had half a roll and no reserve.

Staying inside the reserve saved us a lot of time, with a direct exit to the safari; you can actually see the animals roaming freely from the hotel’s gate, and the meals were good.

Check‑in was smooth. The location was great, you could do a safari in the morning and afternoon easily from inside the park without the long drive each way to the gate. The view of the mountain and animals was wonderful from many areas on the property. The staff were kind and attentive. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hot water and pressure in the showers were good. The food selection was varied for different diets. The fire pit at night is a great spot to slow down and enjoy the evening and stars. This is a lodge, not a safari camp, so you’re in a building versus a tent. I prefer the feel of a safari tent camp when on safari. It would be great to have hand towels to wash after returning from morning/afternoon safaris.
