“Perfect, cost effective stay in Victoria Falls”

The location was perfect, right near town and within our camping tour, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The beds were clean, comfy, and had bug netting. All the tours we went on were picked up at this camp, which was crucial for border crossings and visa matters. Every tour we joined had fabulous guides who assisted with Zambia and Botswana crossings and delivered us to the tour pick‑up for the Zambezi River cruise. The place could use some painting, and the AC didn’t work, which was fine but should be removed from the advertisement.

“Did the job but wouldn’t return”

The pool and gardens were lovely, but the rest of the place felt a bit like a prison – it seemed institutional, and the bungalows were painted bare cinder block with a sofa made from pallets. The mosquito nets had holes in them, so it was very basic. Staff were not very helpful in general – not bad, just not at all on it. Breakfast was actually pretty good when we had it one morning. The location close to the falls doesn’t really make much difference since it’s easy to take taxis everywhere anyway. I have no major complaints, but I’d choose somewhere else next time. It was fairly cheap, but I still think the value for money wasn’t great.

The atmosphere was calm and peaceful. The service, however, was non‑existent: it took half an hour just to get dinner for a party of four, and when we ordered breakfast in the evening they didn’t bring any drinks and took another half hour to bring the plates back. The service was terrible.
