We were treated to a spontaneous short tour with a fig tasting that was truly amazing, and we were also offered a spontaneous scramble or fried egg, which I liked a lot. The coffee at breakfast, however, wasn’t to our taste, though that’s probably just a matter of preference.

The location was great because I was right next to a wedding celebration. It felt a bit lonely with few guests, and the breakfast was very simple.

The hotel sits in a very quiet spot in the most beautiful part of Gumpoldskirchen and is close to lovely walking routes, just a quarter‑hour walk from the train station. The train link to Vienna is good, with a direct service twice an hour in about 35 minutes. Friendly restaurants are nearby and the hotel itself offers a kitchen that guests can use. The host is warm and very helpful, and the view from the room is gorgeous. However, our three‑person room, while spacious and clean, was very plain and lacked coziness. The beds had thin mattresses, the breakfast was very austere, and the price‑to‑quality ratio left something to be desired.
