The charm, the furnishings, the welcome. We had breakfast on the beautiful terrace overlooking the entire old Cairo. The air‑conditioning didn’t work and it was a bit warm. A taxi can’t reach the hotel because old Cairo is closed to traffic; if you arrive late at night you’ll have to walk a bit. During the day the hotel offers a golf cart that takes you out of the closed area.

Right on El Muizz el din Allah, the most fascinating street in Islamic Cairo, my room felt more like a suite—spacious, cosy, and unique. Add a rooftop restaurant and this becomes a great place to stay.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, the hotel has an old‑school vibe, the bed was comfy, the rooms were spacious, the bathroom was very nice, and the view from the restaurant and the balcony was great. The food in the restaurant was tasty. The hotel is close to some cafés with loud music, but they provide earplugs, which is a great solution.

The staff were super kind and helpful—thanks, Heba!—and you’re right in the heart of everything. Breakfast was fantastic, the beds were comfy, and the shower was amazing. 10/10!
