We really liked the room—modern, great view, quiet, spotless, and the staff were friendly. We were unlucky with the pool area; the staff said the pump was broken, the water was green, and the pool floor was dirty. Dinner wasn’t served because the kitchen staff were on vacation. Breakfast could have had more variety and better care—there were mosquitoes on the food.

The staff were friendly, helpful and professional, and they clearly try their best despite limited resources. The hotel sits in a very quiet area and has a nicely sized pool. My room was spacious with a small balcony. The restaurant food was good, thanks to Chef Cristiano. However, the overall experience fell far short of what one would expect from a 4‑star hotel. Reception only operated in the afternoon and even then there was just one receptionist, which was obviously insufficient. Breakfast was very basic with little variety, well below the standard for this category. Although the pool was advertised as open from 10:00 to 19:00, no staff were ever available to open the gate, so we had to use the staff door every day—a situation that is completely unacceptable for a hotel. The property itself was poorly maintained, showing clear neglect and lack of care for the spaces. It felt as if the management had almost abandoned the place. The TV did not work throughout our stay; the operator claimed it was a fault but we were given no alternative. The fitness centre was closed the whole time. Even more troubling was how the complaints we raised were handled: the management never apologized or tried to mitigate the problems or improve our experience. A more professional attitude and greater concern for guest satisfaction would have made a difference. Unfortunately, given all these issues, this was one of the worst hotels we have stayed at. It’s a shame, especially since the staff are sympathetic and dedicated and the property has potential, but the staff are clearly hampered by management limitations.
