We almost stumbled upon Miralago. Marco, for my birthday, wanted to give me a horse‑back experience in Abruzzo, so he found the Lago di Scanno, famous for its heart shape from above. Looking for a place to stay and to do that experience, he found Miralago. It’s a real family‑run agriturismo, where you can feel an authentic and genuine atmosphere. The “mama” takes care of the kitchen and we got to taste their very good products, many of which are km‑zero from their garden. There are also sheep and cows, mostly cared for by the “dad”. Marianna handles the agriturismo’s management, between rooms, kitchen, and everything else. Initially we were supposed to stay one night, but we liked it so much that we spontaneously decided to stay an extra night. And I think that says everything. The experience we’ll keep close to our hearts were the horse rides, thanks to Chiara. Chiara is someone who impressed us a lot. When she talks about her horses, her eyes light up and she can convey all the passion and love she has for them. She told us their story and how she manages them, and just looking at them shows how calm, serene, and well‑cared they are. They’re beautiful horses and you immediately feel the bond she built with them. The place is immersed in nature, in an almost timeless atmosphere, exactly what we were looking for: silence, tranquility, animals, nature, and people who do their job with passion. We left feeling like we found a place close to our hearts. We’ll definitely come back, because one extra night wasn’t enough. ❤️ Thanks to the whole family for making us feel so good and, above all, for giving us an experience that will be hard to forget.
