I stayed in a 20‑bed mixed dorm and expected it to be loud and social because it’s on K Road, but it was actually pretty quiet even though most of the room was full; the beds were comfy, the curtains were a must, and having your own light and plug was handy. The staff were nice and people were friendly, though I’d have liked more outgoing folks. The kitchen was clean and tidy, the common area was good, and you’re allowed to drink in the main area, which is a plus if you want a few before heading out. The shower was the only annoying thing—the temperature would swing from ice cold to boiling if you didn’t find the right spot. Other than that, everything was fine. The area itself is a bigger downside; there were a few sketchy people on the streets, especially at night, so be aware when walking around K Road.

The location is very convenient, strategically placed along K Road, close to everything. Check‑in was quick, easy, and straightforward. The doors slam too loudly, the pre‑check‑in email links were broken and caused confusion, but otherwise everything ran smoothly.

We had a great stay at Haka House K'Road; the property was exceptionally clean, the beds very comfortable, and the staff friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We appreciated the excellent security and convenient location, especially since we were heading to a show at The Studio nearby. For an older property it’s incredibly well maintained, and we loved learning a bit of the building’s history from the staff. Everyone respected the 10 pm quiet‑time rule, which made for a peaceful night’s sleep. The only minor issue was that the bathroom drains in our private room were slow to drain; otherwise we had no complaints and were very happy with our stay.
