There were very few other options. The property is far from the center and beaches, surrounded by hills, has no air‑conditioning—just a fan—and shutters cannot be opened. In summer it feels like hell. Cooking is restricted to pasta or sandwiches, the owner literally lives in the living room, there is no key for the main door, and you can’t leave until the owner says so. It was a real joke.

The owner was super friendly and stayed up until 1:30 am to help me get in when my bus was delayed, which was really kind. The bathroom and bedrooms were clean, and the place is in a great spot. The rooms don’t have air‑con, only fans, and the kitchen’s oven and hobs are unusable, which could be a hassle if you’re staying longer than a couple of nights.

The apartment is on the 4th floor with no elevator, and the external stairs are steep. The room is tiny with three beds, unbearably hot, and lacks air‑conditioning. The owner strictly forbade opening the blinds, making the air suffocating. He lived in one of the rooms, so his cooking smells constantly wafted into the space. He kept entering the room without respecting privacy and lingered outside the bathroom, peeking. At 2 am he knocked and shouted because the blinds had accidentally opened. Even though I had already paid for two more nights, he forced me to leave immediately. When I refused, he grabbed my phone, insulted me, threatened violence (“I’ll call men to hurt you”), and hurled racist slurs because I’m Albanian. He even stalked and verbally harassed me on the street after I left. We had to call the police on site. Although he refunded the remaining nights, the experience was a nightmare of terror and stress. We have all the evidence and recordings.

The host was friendly and always tried to help, and the location is good, but the map doesn’t show that there are buses to and from the beach or old town, so you have to walk a bit down and stroll along the promenade.
