The location was incredibly peaceful. The cottage is a sweet longhouse style, clean and well presented, overlooking the local Church. Horses and birds entertained us outside, while occasional church bells reminded us of human presence. The nearby villages, abbeys, châteaux, and gardens are all well worth exploring, and the area also seems to appeal to cyclists, with many cycle trails and routes—what a treat for us younger people!

The house sits in the middle of a large, well‑maintained plot, offering calm and the presence of horses. The only downside was the heat on the upper floor during the heatwave.

The house and its surroundings were nicely located. The bed with a feather mattress was under a slanted roof, making it hard to get in, and the mattress would shift in all directions when a partner tried to join. The dishwasher was broken and the owner/manager knew about it, but during the five nights we stayed he never contacted us again, so it stayed unrepaired. The furniture was shabby.

The house was super equipped. We could always sit in peace in front of the house in a great setting. From here you can do many bike rides, and many sights are easily reachable.
