“Nothing to complain about at all!”

Clean, the beds were very comfortable and the staff was polite. Parking was an issue – I didn’t know it cost anything.

“Pleasant but needs improvement to cater for needs of international guests”

The location and the beds were comfortable, and the view from the room was great. Valet wasn’t available on arrival and the pool was so crowded I couldn’t use it. Breakfast was good and the staff were nice.

The hotel has plenty of lounge areas and a lot of food choices. I would have liked to visit the coffee shop, but the restaurants were delicious. I enjoyed my stay and appreciated how friendly and welcoming the hotel staff was toward both me and my dog. We had no problems during our stay, and several guests even complimented the dog and asked to pet him. Unfortunately, my experience changed on the morning of checkout. As we left the elevator, my dog barked briefly after seeing people, then calmed down, and we were already on our way to check out when a member of the UT athletics staff approached me and demanded that I leave the hotel because my dog was disturbing their meeting. The meeting was in an open area separated only by a curtain. What worried me most was that this request did not come from hotel staff, and hotel employees never complained about my dog. I don’t think one guest or event attendee should have the authority to ask another paying guest to leave. If privacy or complete quiet was needed for an event, I’d suggest using a private meeting room or banquet space. Overall, I liked the hotel and the staff, but this interaction left a negative impression at the end of an otherwise pleasant stay.
