The location worked well for walking along the Francigina route, and the staff were very helpful. The premises were clean and the facilities were basic but functional. We couldn’t use the restaurant because we only stayed one night and it was closed, and we left at 05.30 so we missed breakfast. The only downside was the lack of suitable sockets for phone charging.
The location was good.

The hotel is in the center of Gambassi Terme. For us, everything was actually fine.

L'Hotel Gambassi is in the center of Gambassi Terme, a little village where time seems to have stopped. The welcome was very warm, and the owner gave us all the information we needed. The room, though small and plain, was clean and cozy, with a private bathroom and, something we really appreciated, air conditioning! We dined at the hotel restaurant (with a 10% discount) and it was a delicious dinner. Breakfast isn’t served in the hotel, but there’s a deal with the bar next door that opens at 6/6:15 where you can find classic brioche or have a sandwich made. The value for money is excellent.
