“A pleasant stay with helpful staff”

Although Toprak Hotel isn’t a luxury property, the guests were very satisfied with the service and facilities. What really made the stay enjoyable was the hospitality and attentiveness of the staff, especially Ali at reception, who was extremely helpful, responsive and patient, doing everything possible to accommodate requests and make guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. His professional and thoughtful approach truly enhanced the experience. Thank you, Ali, and the team for making the stay pleasant!

Breakfast was acceptable for the price, but the night was cold and the heating was off. When we asked for heating to be turned on, no action was taken and we were told it couldn’t be done; we had to report it to the manager, who wasn’t present. The beds were noisy and the windows weren’t double‑glazed, so wind blew in and made the rooms feel colder. Even though we paid for two nights, we left on 08/10/26 and didn’t stay the second night. I would not recommend this hotel, especially in winter.

The staff, especially the owner’s son, were nice and even helped us bring our luggage out and get a taxi to the airport. The Wi‑Fi was good. The hotel is fine if you just need a place to stay, but there isn’t much else. The heating was off during our October stay when outside temperatures dropped to 8 °C. There is no air‑con in the rooms, only radiators, and when we asked to heat the room they said central heating would start next month. Because of this, the stay was uncomfortable; we were always under blankets to stay warm and some of us got cold. There are no kettles in the rooms, so we couldn’t make hot drinks, only a big kettle on the first floor. The bedsheets were washed but were mostly old and a bit worn. Breakfast hygiene was poor; the person preparing it wore dirty clothes, especially his pants, and when he brought new tomatoes or fruit his hands were wet and dripping, which really affected our appetite.

I really enjoyed the hotel. We arrived early before check‑in and it was raining at 6 am; the lounge was freezing and one staff member let us into a clean, unused room, brought two extra blankets, and let us rest until 12 pm while we waited for our room. I really appreciate her kindness.
