The owners were friendly, the room was new and clean, but we had to wait for a locked door, climb two steep flights of stairs (the staff helped with the suitcase, thankfully), and there was no breakfast available.

Nestled on a vineyard 4 km from Bad Bergzabern on the Southern Wine Route, Weingut und Gästehaus Vongerichten offers charm, private rooms with satellite TV and en‑suite showers, and on‑request wine tasting. Its terrace overlooks vines, ideal for cycling, hiking in the Palatinate Forest, and visits to Hambach Palace, Trifels and Berwartstein Castles. Free parking and covered bike storage complete the experience.

The bed was good, the staff friendly, the setup simple, and the breakfast was fine. Because the hotel sits on a fairly busy pass even at night, quiet sleep is only possible with the windows closed. I wouldn't stay here during extended heatwaves. The older house is noisy and has a steep staircase.

Perfect for a trip to the Palatinate.

Close to Landau, but it was very noisy right on the street, the heating failed, there was no hot water, and the staircase was steep.

Right on the highway, the closet held only two hangers, the bathroom had too few hooks for hand and bath towels, and the pillows were spotted but were replaced after complaint. On the second day I moved to a quieter room, which also lacked a mirror in the bathroom and the room, but a mirror was provided after the issue was raised. The furnishings were poor, the microfiber sheets made us sweat a lot.
