Nakai Resort

The room was roomy and everything from the bathroom to the furniture was spotless; it was a shame the restaurant wasn’t open.

The experience was superb! The stop on the loop is ideal: Nakai is really beautiful, there are a few restaurants, and we fell in love with that specific area. The hotel is large, with stunning architecture and traditional buildings. We had an excellent night, good bedding, and the host was very welcoming and warm. We were really off‑season, but in peak season there seems to be plenty of activity (campfires and pétanque). In short, we recommend it, especially for a good night’s rest before hitting the road again.

“Un buen proyecto”

Being secluded made it pretty quiet, and the concept of what it could be was good. The bed was uncomfortable, and the room gave us a lot of allergies—we kept sneezing. There was no dust visible, so we think it came from the air conditioner, because when we left the room we felt much better.

“Idéal pour se reposer après la première journée de la boucle de Thakhek”

We really liked staying here. It’s close to the lake and the place is especially quiet. The gardens are well kept and add a lot of charm. The staff are very welcoming. The room was clean and functional. The restaurant opens at 7 am, both morning and evening. Special mention of the little campfire in the courtyard, lit in the evening, which keeps you warm as the nights can be cool. A great alternative to other more popular spots that don’t offer this level of tranquility.
