I was turned away at the front desk because the receptionist called my reservation a “Fake booking.” I had booked normally, yet I was also denied entry at three other nearby hotels that apparently don’t accept single men. After finding a place to stay, I left after the first night because the noise level was unbearable.

The staff were awful; they kept switching the air conditioner off. When I asked them to turn it back on, they told me I’d have to check out instead.

We arrived at Kanyakumari and went to this hotel, but the main door was locked and wouldn’t open even after we called and tried for 40 minutes. With no response, we had to go to another hotel.
