The breakfast buffet was impeccably arranged with every fancy dish imaginable, fresh and stimulating. The half‑board dinners were extremely delicate, fine, and high‑quality, personally prepared by the chef. The sauna and steam room were heated on request and ready within half an hour. The hotel is decorated in traditional Black Forest style. The service was extremely friendly, personal, and relaxing. We could park our vehicles on the hotel’s own lot right next door without extra charge. The surroundings on the high plateau of Igelsberg invite short, pleasant walks or longer hikes to interesting sights. We have nothing to criticize. I’m sorry I can’t add any negatives! Only a minor point: the fresh‑water tap in the steam room for cleaning the seats was not working. No reason not to book a stay at this fine, affordable hotel.

The staff were kind and available, but the evening meals offered no choice, no starter buffet, and the dishes were okay but nothing special—cheaper and easier to make at home.
