Nautilus Inn - Daytona Beach

The spot was right in front of the beach, and the sea‑view room was great! Having a kitchen in the room can be very handy. The reception, however, was anything but welcoming; they stared us down and the lady used no basic politeness like “bonjour.” It was obvious we were bothering her. The bathroom was tiny and didn’t vent humidity, and the furniture looked old.

“Great hotel, but dont go during high tide in october...also take some sleep masks.”

The location was nice, the hotel and rooms were clean and smelled good, and we had a fantastic view of the pool and ocean. Mother nature threw a curveball: the waves covered the entire beach while we were there. The only other issue was the front door letting in so much light that it lit up most of the room, which was annoying.

“Stay was good. But the rooms themselves need updating.”

The lobby was spacious and super comfortable for hanging out. The reception staff were genuinely nice and courteous. The location was good, the hotel was very clean, and it smelled genuinely clean rather than disinfectant. The pool area was really nice. The rooms need a refresh: the rugs in both rooms and hallways were dirty, the stove and appliances had rust, and the bathroom shower/tub needed re‑calking.

“Everything we needed for our short, spontaneous getaway!”

The facilities, pool area, and beach access were all great, and the common areas look modern and beautiful. The rooms weren’t as updated but stayed clean and well maintained. I loved the kitchen and used the stove several times. The hotel’s actual spot isn’t the best part of the beach; the property next door looked unattractive from our balcony, though the ocean was still visible.
