“Significant Gap Between Listing Expectations and Actual Experience”
My experience at this place was among the most disappointing I've had, and I think future guests need a clearer picture of what to expect. Several key aspects of the stay were either vague before arrival or didn’t match reasonable expectations. For instance, the property advertises a restaurant, yet upon arrival we were told that food could only be prepared for groups or individuals with prior notice and arrangement. The kitchen was closed and empty. The sauna is listed under wellness on the main page and shown in photos, but the fine print says it requires an extra fee. We were told the cost was €380 per use. At about 8:00 p.m. we were offered an upgrade to a suite with a private sauna for €600. While extra services are the hotel’s choice, these costs and restrictions should have been communicated much more clearly during booking. The TV in our room had no signal. When we asked for help, no one answered, the lobby was empty, no staff were available, and phone calls went unanswered. The next day we received a message saying that TV service in the room was not guaranteed and that another TV was available in the entrance area, yet that TV stayed off the whole stay, and no one was around at night to help. This was unexpected given the room rate and the hotel’s overall positioning. Even more concerning, our room was next to the breakfast area, causing noticeable noise early in the morning.
