The hosts are wonderful, the bed and pillows are very comfortable, and the shower is awesome.

The location is central for our route planning and served us well. The owner was very friendly and helped us spot places of interest we might have missed. A short drive down the road gave us a great meal.

We stayed for just one night, but the experience was truly memorable. In the morning, our rental car wouldn’t start, and the owners were incredibly kind and called roadside assistance, which solved the issue. Everything else was great, the hosts were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay with truly amazing hosts!

We stayed here again and found the location wonderful—just a 5‑minute drive to Matamata, yet it feels far out in the countryside. It’s on the right side of town, so getting onto state highway 29 is easy, and Hobbiton is only a 20‑minute drive away. The hosts were super friendly, the unit was well equipped, and they paid real attention to detail with the continental breakfast options.
