The lounge is on the ground floor, there's a staircase, the building is historic, and there's a courtyard. The front‑desk staff were very helpful, and our luggage had already been delivered to the room. The coffee was lacking; there was no coffee machine at the breakfast buffet.

Very welcoming; I always choose this hotel when I go to Mâcon. The breakfast is a bit pricey but very good and varied.

“Rather Disappointing - Both Hotel and Town”

The staff were very friendly and helpful and parking was good. The room itself was fine, bed very comfortable and bathroom good. We took our breakfast in our room to avoid the smell (see cons below), breakfast was fine, although rather limited in choice. I am sure there was plenty of choice if we took breakfast in the 'dining area'. Quite expensive for the quality and experience. The initial impression was the building smelt like an 'old people's home' - distinct smell of boiled cabbage. Reviews stated that Macon was a pleasant place to visit, not in our opinion - it lacked any French charm and felt most unwelcoming
