Katia and Nuno’s guesthouse feels like a nice retreat in Maputo – the staff are very friendly and the rooms are spacious and well equipped (I’ve never had a larger walk‑in closet!), and the hosts answer questions right away, which is reassuring. I hope to return for the pool when the weather warms up. On the downside, the espresso machine in the room wasn’t working, and it would be better if the price of capsules were included in the room rate instead of having to pay separately.

The lodge is very well maintained. The rooms are large, the bed is huge. Aníbal, the guy who greets us and shows everything, is a gem: polite, humorous, helpful. The lodge’s security staff are also very courteous and attentive. I really liked the bar that runs on honesty, because it’s nice to be able to stay on the mezzanine and have a drink without relying on service. The location is great; I could walk to almost all the tourist spots. The breakfast is decent, but it doesn’t vary much from day to day, even though the products are always fresh.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Reception was excellent and we got immediate tips and advice to improve our stay in Maputo. Good breakfast and a nice honesty bar by the pool! We definitely recommend the guesthouse.
