The experience was fantastic! The room was clean, welcoming, and very well maintained. The owners were extremely kind and helpful. We really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner, both excellent! We had a great stay and will definitely return.

The older lady and the chef were very friendly and helpful; the mattresses were good, the room was clean and cleaned every two days, and you could tap fresh water yourself. The restaurant food was good, but the daily menu could be more varied, and the breakfast was both sweet and hearty. The drive‑way was a nightmare: an unpaved road with large gravel piles and potholes. Since the restaurant (for those on half‑board) is only reachable by car and in spring/fall it gets dark at 19:30, the drive‑way to the guesthouse and restaurant is not lit, making it impossible to walk without a flashlight—an obvious safety risk. Older people have trouble, it’s not wheelchair‑friendly, and there’s no lighting before the house or outside staircase. Old plastic flower pots are scattered everywhere, weeds grow, and the outdoor area looks neglected. The butter at breakfast isn’t fresh, it’s from the previous day and cut into chunks, with no variety. The breakfast could be made more varied every few days. I only saw the owner walking around, with no personal conversation with guests. Everything feels dated and needs renovation. The shower door jammed, a socket was broken, TV programs were only in Italian, and there were no information leaflets or a documentation folder in the room.

The location is very beautiful in the middle of the mountains. Absolute silence, good bed, good bathroom. Medieval castle vibe. Parking is close, pool. We ate dinner at a restaurant with the same name about 2 km away, very good and at a good price. Breakfast on the terrace. Not far from Florence. I recommend it.

The staff were extremely friendly, cordial and helpful. There was a minor plumbing issue and as soon as I reported it, a technician came to fix it. The shower had a compartment to hold shampoo, foam bath, and a large, comfortable sponge: something not found everywhere. The lack of a bidet, even though a small shower was provided next to the toilet, was inconvenient, especially since the bathroom is large and had space for a bidet. The shower lacked a basin, so even when the covers were closed, water would spill out of the shower. The showerheads also needed changing: some are a bit clogged and the water flows at an angle, clearly old. A few euros would fix the issue. Additionally, there were no convenient support points in the bathroom for toiletries and other items: you had to improvise a bit.
