The whole place was fantastic, especially the historic vibe and the vintage décor, and the bed was the best I’ve had on this trip.

The building’s location and history were fun and impressive, but my room had a slight musty smell and the refrigerator still contained food from previous guests.

The historic feel and décor are a real highlight, and the price is reasonable; our second‑floor room overlooked the grand lobby and lounge below, which was very charming. We booked a king with a separate seating area so we could relax off the bed, but only one TV was in the bedroom, and the “sitting room” had a wet bar, a leather bench with back, and a wooden desk with chair—lovely old pieces, but not comfortable for sitting. The floors squeak, which is understandable. The hotel is a bit far from the historic district, but it’s doable with good walking shoes and a positive attitude. Breakfast was underwhelming, mostly bread or sugary items, though they did offer hard‑boiled eggs and name‑brand yogurt, which helped.
