The room was clean, quiet, and the AC worked well. Parking for car and boat cost $35 in a mostly empty lot. The key to my room didn’t work, so I had to call someone who gave me a different room, and I had to stand in heat waiting.

They never mention on any website, Google Maps, or the Tropical Inn’s site that they will charge $10 to park on the property. What would I have done if I hadn’t had the extra $10, but had already paid for the room? There’s no street parking around this motel, so you’re forced to pay the parking fee.

It looks exactly as shown in the photos. It’s in a quiet spot, perfect for resting. The price is higher than similar accommodations, considering it’s far from the beaches, and the check‑in time is half an hour later than most places we stayed on this trip, while check‑out is an hour earlier.

Close to the BayCare Sound venue. A $10 card charge for parking and the same charge added to a $2 Coke from a vending machine.
