The house looked stunning and it was fun to explore its historic charm, especially as they’re restoring it. The bed was uncomfortable, and the window above the door let hallway light spill onto our faces; blocking the hall lights would have helped but made it hard for others to reach the restroom. Check‑in was oddly restricted to 4‑6 pm, so we had to cut our travel short to arrive on time.

The location is beautiful and the vibe is great, plus the hosts are very welcoming. A few listed amenities were missing because of renovations, but I’ll definitely come back once everything’s finished. I don’t regret staying here.

After an eight‑hour trip, a voice on the ring button told us only one room was left instead of the two we’d booked and paid for. Mario said he couldn’t help and blamed the situation, suggesting we find lodging elsewhere in town. No apology or assistance was offered. We ended up walking to the Carter House Inn, where they provided better rooms, free parking, and free breakfast. Book with the Carter House Inn instead!

The rooms were nicely updated and pretty. However, sketchy people loitered outside, and we didn’t get the specific room we’d booked.
