“Dingy, sketchy neighborhood, fire alarm in the middle of the night. BOOOOOOO.”
Nothing much appealed to my 13‑year‑old son and me at this hotel. The beds were comfortable and the main room was mostly clean. The area felt sketchy and rundown; it sits in a small commercial park off the main highway, but that park is really shabby. Frontage roads and side streets are in bad shape, grass and weeds growing everywhere. The hotel and parking lot desperately need a makeover. It looks fairly run down—though not dirty, thankfully—but just way behind the times as if Quality Inn has utterly disregarded it. Our bathroom, which was part of a handicap room (I don’t recall asking for that when I reserved the hotel), was pretty atrocious; dingy, the shower area was filthy, and it reminded me of a college dorm bathroom. The worst part was a fire alarm that went off around midnight. Both my son and I were jarred awake, and as all patrons did, we exited the hotel. There was no fire, but it was really disruptive. My son and I awoke at 6 am and we were gone by 7 am—not because we had to, but because we’d had enough of that pit. And for $200+? That’s absolutely disgraceful. Buyer BEWARE.
