Close to the places we wanted to visit. Nobody spoke English, no one was at reception when we arrived, and we were lucky a local was with us. We were then told there was no reservation even though I had all the details; it was them or whoever let us down! We finally got sorted, but it didn't start the holiday right. Don't advertise this unless you or someone in your party speaks fluent Portuguese.

We didn't expect breakfast, but we were pleasantly surprised when we got it. We chose this hotel for its proximity to AIMA and the ability to walk there. People were very helpful and kind, going out of their way to make our stay nice. Confusion about charging our car on site: the check‑in person said we couldn't charge it on site and had to go to Intermarche mercado. When we booked I had asked if it was possible and was assured that it was. The check‑in person was not the regular staff, but we found another person who told us how to charge it on site and helped us find the correct location.
