“Living with locals”

I stayed for a month and really liked it; the rooms sit on the second floor and the building is tucked deep in a Balinese family’s backyard. The staff were always super friendly and helpful, sometimes dropping off fruit for us. The real highlight was the first day of Galungan when they lent us traditional clothes, helped us dress, and let us join a local parade. Every other day they swept the room, took out the trash, and after about a week they would come to change the sheets, towels, and wash the floor. The location is much quieter than Ubud’s streets, so it’s peaceful to sleep at night. The AC works well, and there’s a spot in the backyard to keep your motorbike inside. I have no complaints.

I had the whole of 2nd floor all to myself for 2 weeks. The walkway and the house in itself is so pretty. The bathroom could have been a bit more cleaner. Also for 1 week I stayed they didn’t come to clean up the room, not sure if we have to request it

The room was large enough with a nice balcony that you share with the next room, with no obstacle in between. The bedsheets and towels could be cleaner and smell better; given the low price I had low expectations, but the bathroom had a very bad odor and definitely needed a deep cleaning.
