The room is very nice, the food really good, and the hosts Anu and Udeni are genuinely kind. At first we thought the chef might be trying to scam us because he offered us excursion suggestions; such warmth and patience are not what we’re used to in Austria. We later realized he truly means well and wanted us to have a great holiday, so he gave us many tips and ideas. The owner is a trained cook and made the best food of our trip. Guests can also take a free cooking class with him, helping and watching while preparing dinner. The typical Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious and very generous, often more than we could eat. We were there in September, in the off‑season. The location was very pleasant and quiet. With a scooter we could explore the surroundings. We arrived much earlier than planned, at 6:30 am. The owner didn’t know and still greeted us warmly with tea and had our room ready in the morning. We enjoyed the time very much and would definitely come back.

The owner was incredibly kind, welcoming, and hospitable throughout my visit, making me feel at home; everything was perfect, so I would definitely recommend this place to other travelers.

“Great value and experience”

Anu and his beautiful wife took great care of us, giving useful activity tips and cooking delicious curries with a wide variety of foods I’d never tried; the room was beautifully decorated, the garden lovely, and overall the value was excellent.

“Wonderfull! Could not have imagined a better stay in Sigiriya”

Anu and his wife are extremely friendly, cook wonderful meals, and did their best for us; they organized a safari where we saw many beautiful elephants at Miniriya National Park, so I highly recommend staying at Sigiri Mount Villa & Restaurant.
