Hotel Waldgasthof Schöning

“Tolles Hotel”

The atmosphere is very personal. The chef and staff are exceptionally nice, friendly, and helpful. It’s simply a comfortable hotel, HIGHLY recommended. The price‑performance ratio is top‼️ There is nothing else to report.

The location is very rural, which I like. The breakfast is excellent.

“Heerlijk genoten op een mooie locatie”

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful! You can tell it’s a family‑run hotel, and they operate it out of passion. It’s also spotlessly clean. Breakfast and dinner are well organized and of good quality.

“Wir würden sofort wiederkommen!”

The house is not a new building and not a bed‑and‑breakfast – thank God – but we liked it very much. I may have had more extensive breakfasts in other places, but nothing was missing. I want to mention the exceptional service in the house and the friendliness of all staff. We felt absolutely comfortable.

“Es war ein sehr schönes Wochenende an der Thülsfelder Heide und wir haben uns sehr Wohl gefühlt.”

We had room 1 with a large balcony facing the street. We didn’t hear the cars in the room. Across from our room there was a small room with a fridge that we could use, and it was also stocked with various drinks, which we liked a lot. Unfortunately, there was no kettle or coffee machine in that room. The service and all staff were very friendly and we felt very comfortable. The food in the house’s restaurant was very tasty, so we ate there on both days. We had a room facing the street and the light from passing cars still shone into the room despite the curtain being drawn. The bathroom had a rather small shower.
