The hotel owner was kind, and every staff member did their best for my stay, no matter their English level. It was hard to locate the hotel because there was no sign on the street, and I felt a little scared when a taxi driver dropped me off in front of the building since I couldn’t find it myself.

The room was spacious and fully equipped with drinking water, a fridge, kettle, and tea; the staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the musical elevator. It was a bit noisy at night, but that’s probably typical for most Cairo hotels.

We liked the location, and the breakfast was good, though it didn’t start until 8 am, so we only had it once. The building was poorly marked (maybe intentional). We were first assigned a room different from what we requested; it lacked an in‑room safe, had no coffee, and the shower was broken. On the second night we moved to a nicer room with a more private bathroom, but the toilet leaked and there was still no coffee, so we bought instant coffee from a shop.
