The room was lovely and the kitchen had all the tools you need to cook, but the WiFi was terrible and we struggled to book tickets online, which is frustrating when traveling. We received a message saying hot water was available 24 hours, yet we had to ask twice for it to be turned on, and when it was on the temperature swung from scalding hot to freezing cold. My partner sat on a communal bench covered in resin that ruined his trousers. This was one of the pricier places we stayed on our trip, and I think WiFi and reliable hot showers should be expected at this price point.
“Excellent spot, superb host”
The spot is spot‑on – great location, spotless and well‑organized, and Sandra was an exceptional host who went out of her way to help. I'd recommend it without hesitation.
“Warm staff, spacious and quiet”
The staff were warm and welcoming, the rooms felt roomy, and the location was tucked away in a peaceful area. I'd stay here again.
“Comfy beds, no housekeeping”
The beds were comfortable and the rooms had sound‑proofing plus central heating, which made for good nights. The downside was that housekeeping never came by during the three days we were there, so we had to fend for ourselves. Overall a decent place to sleep, but the lack of cleaning was disappointing.
“Good location, but cost‑cutting hurts comfort”
The hotel sits right off the main street yet stays relatively quiet, and the rooms felt spacious. Sandra was quick to respond to any request, even bringing firewood and dealing with a burst pipe that flooded the kitchen. Unfortunately the place seems to be skimping on basics: no daily cleaning, floors left with black marks, only one toilet roll, no soap or shampoo, and a radiator that turns off during the day leaving the room cold.
