We loved our cozy bed and the cooked breakfast; the hosts were welcoming and kind, offering snacks and hot drinks. The bathroom had a slight odor and some surfaces were a bit grubby, but it worked fine.

The place feels homely and the location is great for exploring the south coast and Kilkenny. There’s a wide selection of programs and movies to watch both in the evening and the morning. Sandy knows the area well and can point out worthwhile spots. The only downside is that the road nearby gets a bit noisy during busy times.

The room was cosy, comfortable and spotless, and the ensuite was in perfect condition. We were handed a glass of water right when we arrived, which we appreciated. We actually got there later than we had planned because of a delay on our journey, but the late check‑in was handled without any complaint.

The owners were lovely and welcoming, the breakfast was well taken care of, and the bed was very suitable for tall people. The outdoor area was pretty, making it a good base for day trips around the area. The shower had weak water pressure and there were no hooks for towels in the bathroom.
