Cleanliness and good beds. The road to the hotel is unclear, and we were not warned about it! We had to walk 300 meters in the rain with our belongings. The phone listed in the booking doesn’t work! They send a location point from an app that doesn’t work, and they didn’t give us sheets and towels initially, and toilet paper was missing, and drinking water wasn’t provided. Most importantly, the staff was cut down, with only one person running the hotel. Breakfast was served an hour late, even though we asked for it on time.

“Disappointed”

Mr. Paul works very hard, is very obliging, and friendly. The place is overpriced for what it offers. The facilities are very worn and could be cleaner. It seems Mr. Paul is trying—or is expected—to run the place single‑handed, so details get neglected a bit. It’s impossible for one person to keep on top of room cleaning, providing meals, clearing up after them, and greeting guests. Rather than making tea or coffee for guests, it would be much better if these were available for self‑service.

Paul was incredibly friendly and always ready to help with any request, finding solutions on the spot. The location is perfect, even walking to Kandy’s center during the July festival was easy.

“Prima verblijf”

The price/quality was fine. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Good bed. Delicious breakfast. Wifi was mediocre.
