The apartment was good overall, but the third floor has no elevator.

“Never ever again.”

The location is very good, the price‑performance ratio is just about okay, it’s pretty cheap. The steep, narrow stairs without an elevator to the third floor, the bland furnishings, and the spiral staircase to the bed are so tight and steep that we couldn’t bring our (normally large) suitcases upstairs. The view from the window looks out onto a completely dilapidated, vacant neighboring building. There was only one key, even though we were two people. Because of alleged credit‑card problems, we had to pay the amount in cash when handing over the key, and we didn’t receive a receipt. The credit card worked fine for the rest of the stay. The key had to be picked up at a “drop‑off” called “Hotel” – we had to walk there with all our luggage because the taxi couldn’t enter the narrow street. That required strong arms and nerves.

“Ervaring”

The mattresses were hard. You had to climb to the third floor by stairs because there was no lift. Two people stood with us to process the payment; we had to transfer the money to them and show proof, but they didn’t believe it. After a long argument they let us into the room. We never heard from them again, but the amount was paid. Mold hung in the shower. The room was fine for one night. We were allowed to leave our suitcases in another hotel for a while, and the location was perfect in the city.

The location is very good, a street with many restaurants, very quiet on the floor. The guy was friendly but I didn’t get to see him; we communicated by phone. A nice touch was leaving coffee for the morning. The bed is comfortable, but it’s not suitable for more than one night. The air‑conditioning filters were very dirty, so people with allergies should be careful.

“Preis-Leistung in Ordnung, wir haben aber mehr erwartet”

The host is super nice and a spontaneous check‑in worked well. The location is great, right on the busy pedestrian zone, but because the apartment is set back in a courtyard you don’t hear the noise. The apartment is very large, with air‑conditioning on both floors. Unfortunately it wasn’t as clean as expected. The shower, toilet, and kitchen could have been cleaner. The large shower head was broken and maybe only ten jets worked. The small shower head worked, but it had to be held in hand because the holder kept slipping down. In the bedroom one window lacked blackout curtains, so we improvised with a large sofa cushion to keep it from being too bright. Overall, the apartment’s condition is not what the pictures promised.
