The room was nice and clean, and the gentleman at the place was helpful and communicative. I could check in early and check out late, which was very convenient. The TV didn’t work, but the person who seemed to be the manager was very apologetic. The area isn’t exactly glamorous, but I didn’t find it dangerous. Finding the property was hard because neither it nor the neighboring houses had numbers. Even when I found the anonymous-looking door (the neighbours helped me), there was no bell or knocker. I was lucky I had a Senegal eSIM to send a message that I was at the front door, but others might not be so fortunate. The accommodation needed something to mark its presence (a number, a sticker, or whatever) and a way for guests to announce themselves at the door.

The apartment was close to my meeting spot. It was dusty and hadn’t been cleaned before I arrived. Mosquitoes and cockroaches were everywhere, so I stayed up all night killing them. The bedsheets looked like they’d been on the bed for over a month and hadn’t been changed. A dusty smell caused serious sneezing and itching of my nose all night. The toilet wasn’t properly cleaned. I felt there was no cleaning or fresh ventilation before my arrival. Even though I booked two weeks in advance and notified the apartment a day before, the place was still unattended. I was disappointed.
